Inspired from the on-ice version of the event, this friendly outdoor ball hockey shootout format will take place on Saturday June 26 for children aged 9 and 10 and Sunday June 27 for children aged 11 and 12 years old. Participants can register as a player or goalie. The competition has three rounds: the qualifying round, the elimination round and the grand finale. To participate in this activity, the parent must register his or her child (ren) in a qualifying wave according to the year of birth.

In order to comply with the measures in force and put in place by the Public Health Department and to ensure the safety of all, participants and their accompanying persons must follow the health protocol established by the organizers. Note that each of the children and their companion will have their temperature taken and will have to fill out a health questionnaire. A stop at the disinfection station for hands and sport equipment will also be mandatory. The site will be designed so that everyone respects the social distancing of 2 meters.

Schedule:

Saturday June 26:

Children, aged between 9 and 10, will take on the surface for the competition. A minimum of 8 qualifying waves of 45 minutes consisting of 32 players and 8 goalies will be scheduled at the start of this day. The elimination rounds and the grand final will follow respectively.

Sunday June 27:

Children, aged between 11 and 12, will take on the surface for the competition. A minimum of 8 qualifying waves of 45 minutes consisting of 32 players and 8 goalies will be scheduled at the start of this day. The elimination rounds and the grand final will follow respectively.

Equipment required for participation

• For players: hockey stick
• For goalkeepers: goalie equipment (Ball Hockey or Ice Hockey Gear)
• Face cover
• Health insurance card

* Please note that we will have ball hockey equipment on site if participants do not have these items

Prizes: The finalists for Saturday and Sunday, two goalkeepers and two players will win:

• Three (3) tickets to attend a Montreal Canadiens game in a Luxury Suite at the Bell Centre, food and refreshments included (date to be confirmed and at the discretion of the organizers)
• Hockey jersey (embroidered and numbered)
• Pre-game VIP tour of the Bell Center
• Visit of a surprise guest
